When attempting to upgrade a OneDrive account, the payment section under Google Play displays a work email account for billing. How can this payment method be changed to a personal email account instead?

    Hi Julieanna,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community. I understand you’re looking to change the payment account for your OneDrive upgrade, and that your work email currently appears during the process. I understand how important it is, and I'm here to help.

Let’s go through a few steps and check if it helps resolve the issue:

    1. Open the Google Play on your android device
    2. Tap your Profile Icon located at the upper right corner
    3. Select the drop down arrow next to your current account, to view all signed-in Google Accounts
    4. Choose your personal Google Account from the list, if it's not listed you may tap the " Add another account " and sign in with your personal email
    5. Once you already switched, return to the OneDrive App and you may try to proceed to the upgrade process again. The transaction will now be billed to the selected personal account.

    Hello Carlo,

Thank you for the reply. Yes I did check my profile on the Google Play and it is already my personal account.

When I go back to try and upgrade my one drive, it still shows the work email address. How do I send you a screenshot?

    Hi Julieanna,

Regarding the issue with OneDrive still showing your work email address during the upgrade process, it sounds like the app might still be linked to your work account. To better assist you, could you please send us a screenshot of what you're seeing?

You can attach the screenshot directly to your reply in this thread, or if you're using a support portal, there should be an option to upload files or images.

    Regards,

    I have the solution.

If you have a samsung it would be like this, but is probably similar on other phones.

First step is to make sure you are using the right account on play store, then close both play store and one drive.

Tap and hold the play store icon then click on the "i" to access the app info, scroll to storage option then tap on clear data. Now do the same for the onedrive app.

Reopen play store, then open onedrive and it should probably use the right account now.

It worked perfectly for me hope this helps
