Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Just to confirm, are you using the new Outlook for Windows? If so, please try restarting the Outlook app first, sometimes a quick restart can refresh the view and bring the folders back.

Also, when you check your Outlook on the web https://outlook.live.com do the missing folders appear there? This will help us figure out if the issue is with the app itself or something else.

If all folders are missing, you have probably inadvertently hidden the Folder pane. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/show-all-folders-in-outlook-b977276a-ffa3-4f6c-9839-b9e6a736e154#officeversion=new_outlook .

Thank you for letting me know.

Since it does come up in the search, it means the folder still exists and isn’t deleted.

In this case, it’s very likely that the folder is just nested under another folder or is collapsed in your folder list. Here’s what you can try next:

    1. Carefully go through your folder pane and expand all folders that have small arrows next to them, especially ones you don’t usually open. The missing folder might be hiding inside one of those.
    2. You can also right-click the folder (once you find it) and select “Show in Favorites” so it’s easier to access moving forward.
