I agree and support the users requests below. Although I understand what you are sayign about MS's acountability, in that case what is the point of creating a meeting through a channel. if I want and need full control, then I'll be the organiser, if I want to share ownership we should be able to have that choice--it's not like it will make Microsoft legally responsible if I have explicitly selected the option for the channel owners to have control. In fact, why have co-owners if you are worried about accountability.
Request for Editing Permissions on Channel-Based Teams Meetings
Hello, I’d like to raise a query regarding Microsoft Teams functionality. When a meeting is scheduled directly within a Teams channel, it’s visible to all team members, which is great for collaboration. However, only the original organiser appears to have permission to edit the meeting details (e.g., time, recurrence, attendees), even though the meeting is associated with the channel. We’ve attempted to use co-organisers, but they still lack editing rights. This limitation is proving challenging in collaborative environments where multiple team members may need to manage or adjust meeting details. Could you advise if there is a workaround or if there are any upcoming updates that would allow team members or channel owners to edit meetings scheduled within a channel? Thank you for your support.
