Hi Nancy, this is Kimberly. I'm glad to assist you today.
Alright, here’s how to force iTunes to play through your speaker in Windows 11, even if other apps use a different output.
1️. Open App-specific Sound Settings
Open iTunes first (play something so Windows knows it’s active).
Press Windows + I to open Settings.
Go to System → Sound.
Scroll down and click Advanced sound options (sometimes labeled App volume and device preferences).
2. Find iTunes in the list
You should see "iTunes" or "iTunes (32-bit)" listed as an active app.
If you don’t see it, make sure music is playing in iTunes so Windows detects it.
3. Force the output to your speaker
In the Output device dropdown next to iTunes, choose your Bluetooth speaker or wired speaker.
Leave the Master volume output alone if you want other apps to still use your normal speakers.
4. Test
Go back to iTunes and play music — it should now only go to your chosen speaker.
Even if Windows updates or reboots, this setting usually sticks.
Should you have more questions, please let me know.
Best regards,
Kimberly
