Working on MS Teams for mac, screenshare stops after a few minutes of sharing regardless of whether I am talking or typing

Hi there,

I have uninstalled and re-installed teams, double checked keyboard shortcuts for starting and stopping screen sharing, checked with my admin, validated my internet connectivity, and gone through several other troubleshooting steps yet every time I screen share in a teams meeting it just randomly stops the sharing. It has happened both when I am typing and speaking and sharing the window vs entire screen doesn't make a difference. Has anyone had this issue? I am the only one on my team experiencing it. Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Natasha Burrow

Thank you for reaching out regarding the screen sharing issue on Microsoft Teams. We’d like to provide detailed information along with temporary workarounds as follows:

    • This is a confirmed error by Microsoft, related to compatibility between the Teams app on Mac and recent macOS updates.
    • The issue is not caused by misconfiguration or network problems, but is a software error. Both Microsoft and Apple are aware and are working on a fix.

    Temporary Solutions and Recommendations

    1. Use Microsoft Teams Web Version
      • Visit https://teams.microsoft.com .
      • This is currently the most reliable way to avoid the screen sharing interruption after 5 minutes.
      1. Switch to Another Device (if available)
        • Use a Windows machine or iPad for important meetings.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused you.
