The calendar is not loading in either the online, or desktop versions of Teams. It will come up when I first open Teams, but if I navigate to anything else like Chat, or to a Team, and then go back to the calendar the calendar will not load. My company MIS team tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that did not work.

    Hi @Kristen Arave,

It's wonderful news that the issue has been resolved. I truly appreciate your effort in identifying the root cause. I believe many users may encounter a similar issue, and your case could serve as a valuable reference for them.

Therefore, I’d like to make a brief summary of this post so that other forum members can easily find useful information here:

    Issue Description:

Calendar was not loading in either the online or desktop versions of Microsoft Teams. It initially appeared upon opening Teams, but failed to load after navigating to other sections like Chat or Team and returning to Calendar.

    Assessment:

The issue was caused by the new calendar toggle being switched on in Teams. Disabling this toggle resolved the problem.

    More Information:

This behavior may be linked to how the new calendar experience interacts with cached data or navigation flow in Teams. If other users experience similar symptoms, checking the calendar toggle setting could be a quick resolution.

As other users will also search for information in this community, your valuable vote will definitely help others with similar queries find the correct channel and useful information more quickly.

Greatly appreciate again your patience and understanding.

I think I have go it. The new calendar switched was toggled on and that seems to be what was causing the issue.

    Hi @Kristen Arave,

Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Q&A Community. We're happy to help you with your concern.

To help narrow down the root cause of the calendar not loading in Teams (both online and desktop), could you please clarify a few points:

    1. Are you signed into the same Microsoft 365 account across Teams desktop, Teams web, and Outlook?
    2. Is this issue affecting your default Outlook calendar, or are you using a shared calendar, delegated calendar, or one from a third-party service?
    3. Are you using the classic Teams client or the new Teams experience? (You can check this in the About section of Teams settings.)
    4. Does your calendar load correctly in Outlook Web at https://outlook.office.com/calendar?
    5. If you're using Teams online, does the issue persist across different browsers (e.g., Edge, Chrome)?
    6. Have there been any recent changes to your calendar permissions or mailbox delegation?
    7. Does the calendar load properly on other devices (e.g., mobile app or another PC)?
    8. Do you see any error messages when the calendar fails to load, or does it just remain blank?

Once we have more details, we can better guide you through troubleshooting steps or escalate to the appropriate support channel if needed.

Same thing just happened to me. Turning off the "New Calendar" switch made my calendar appear again. Even rebooting my machine didn't help this one. I don't recall ever switching the New Calendar to ON. Also, who names software like "New..."?
