my surface laptops usbc port is faulty, i already ran the diagnostics surface app but the port is still not responding
i need warranty support
this is the difference between Dell and Microsoft when providing hardware warranty support. with dell you can call/chat dell technical support talk to support, do the recommended troubleshooting steps, and launch for warranty support right there on the call. all this without the need to create an account and email. with ms there's just no straight answer plus the requirement of creating an account, that's a deal breaker

Surface devices, especially the USB-C port is built into the motherboard, so it’s not something that can be replaced or repaired by users. If you're having trouble with it, the best option is to reach out to Microsoft Support or visit an authorized service center they’ll be able to help without risking further damage.

On Surface devices, the USB-C port is soldered to the motherboard — not user-replaceable.
You’d need to contact Microsoft Surface Support for a repair/replacement.
