A week ago me and my colleagues were able to hover over a Microsoft teams message, click the "more options" button, and find the "create planner task" button. It dissapeared a few days ago for all of us and it must be a bug. Can you please assist?

    Hi @Y.W

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum

I understand you are facing the issue with "create planner task" option missing when you hover over a Microsoft Teams message

To better understand, may I clarify:

1.Does the 'Create Planner Task' option disappear for all messages, or only for messages from external users (people outside your organization)?

2.Are you using the Teams desktop app, mobile app, or web version? If it’s the desktop or mobile app, please ensure you are in the latest version.

3.Can you still access the Planner app directly at planner.cloud.microsoft/webui?logout=1, and are tasks syncing correctly there? If not, is there any error message when you attempt to access?

As the first step, I recommend checking your Microsoft 365 permissions and licensing

-Sign in to My account with your Microsoft 365 credentials.

-Look for the "Subscriptions" section to see your assigned plan

-Check if Microsoft Planner is listed as an included service.

If you have difficulty accessing this information or don’t see Planner in your subscription, please contact your IT admin and ask them to verify your license and permissions in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center

Note: If you’re unsure who the IT Admin is within your organization, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

If you are certain, you have a Microsoft Planner license, you can try the following steps:

1.Go to the left tab of teams and click on the 3 dots search workflows.

2,Go to workflows, select create, find "create a planner task from a message", select that section -> Choose Next.

3.Set up your flow -> Create flow.

Once you have successfully set up the flow, you will receive the message "Your flow is ready to run!" Then, you can check if the "Create Planner Task" option appears

The initial response may not fully address your needs, but it will help me better understand your situation. Once I get the information, I will try my best to find the next steps

    1. All messages
    2. Teams desktop app
    3. Yes, I can access it, I can also access it from inside the teams.

Microsoft Planner is listed as an included service.

I created a workflow and managed to see the "Create Planner Task" option, but it doesn't work - a week ago I could right-click and save every message I wanted to every planner/bucket I wanted, this doesn't exist anymore.

Can confirm, this option used to be there but it's gone now. Used it frequently as it facilitated creating tasks to plan one's day without having to spend too much time manually typing in everything into Planner / To Do.

Would love for that option to return.

@Allison-H - Can you contact any Planner developer or product manager?

It seems like the option itself is back! But it is very slow and shows the following error:
