Published Report Builder PBI paginated report not connecting to Azure SSAS Model

When I select the paginated report "Inventory Summary" in Power BI service, instead of seeing my paginated report render in the browser, I get the message:
"An unexpected error occurred - Cannot create a connection to data source [My SSAS Model Name]."
When I run the report in Microsoft Report Builder IDE, the report connects and renders perfectly. It only gives this error once published to the Power BI Service.

    Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Your paginated report works in Report Builder because it connects directly from your machine to Azure Analysis Services, but once published to Power BI Service, it fails since paginated reports there cannot directly connect to AAS models. Power BI Service only supports connections to Power BI semantic models (datasets) or to sources available through an On-premises data gateway. To resolve this, either migrate your AAS model into Power BI (recommended, since AAS is being phased out in favour of Fabric/Power BI Premium datasets) or configure a gateway that allows the Service to reach your AAS instance. Without one of these, the Service cannot establish the connection, which is why you see the “Cannot create a connection to data source” error.

I found this answer on my own without help from the MS team. In fact, the response from the Microsoft team member lead me in the incorrect direction as you can see in their response above.

    Correct Answer:
In the workspace click the ellipsis next to the paginated report object and go to "Manage". Under Data source credentials click "Edit credentials". Select the "Authentication method" = OAuth2 and click Sign in. Reauthenticate through the browser and that worked. It appears that possibly the OAuth token had expired. Although as you can see above, the error message from Power BI service does not indicate that.
