Hello Gaku Furukawa,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thank you for reaching out.
I understand that you’re running into 429 errors with the Face Training API due to hitting the current quota limits. By default, the Standard (S0) Face API tier supports up to 10 transactions per second (TPS) per resource and 200 TPS per region across all resources, as outlined in the quota and limits documentation.
To increase your Face API quota, you’ll need to submit a support request through the Azure Portal. Here are the steps:
- Sign in to the Azure Portal.
- In the left menu, select Help + support.
- Choose New support request.
- For Issue type, select Service and subscription limits (quotas).
- Under Quota type, select Cognitive Services and specify Face API.
- Provide details of your request, including:
- Your Face API use case and why an increase is required.
- Which subscription(s) or resource(s) are affected.
- The specific limits you’d like to increase (e.g., TPS or number of resources).
- For rate limits: how much TPS you need, how often throttling occurs, and confirmation you’ve reviewed your call history.
- For resource limits: the number of Face resources currently in use and the increase you’re requesting.
Once submitted, the Microsoft support team will review your request. Approval depends on factors like region capacity, your current usage patterns, and frequency of throttling. Please refer this Request a quota increase.
I Hope this helps. Do let me know if you have any further queries.
