and it doesn’t load the file even after waiting for 15 minutes? The problem seems to be specifically when I try to open a PDF file IN an assignment other file types load fine PDF files load outside an assignment and it works on other types of devices (iPads, window computers) but I’ve tested it and it hasn’t loaded on different iPhones too. im not sure if it’s teams or an iPhone specific problem or what ive also tried reinstalling it, offloading the app, clearing cache etc. nothing worked please help if you even heard of it 🙏

    Dear @Kyle Wong

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft 365 Q&A forum.

Based on your description and current documentation from Microsoft, this issue appears to be specific to the Microsoft Teams mobile app on iPhones, particularly when accessing PDF attachments within assignments. While other file types and platforms (e.g., iPads, Windows PCs) function correctly, the iOS Teams app may encounter rendering or compatibility issues with embedded PDFs in assignment modules.

To better understand and solve the problem you are facing, could you help me with the following?

    1. What version of iOS are you using on your iPhone?
    2. Is the PDF file extremely large or complex?
    3. Have you checked if the issue persists with different PDF files, or is it isolated to just one?
    4. Have you tried opening a PDF file in Teams web?

In the meantime, here are a couple of options depending on what you want to do:

    1. Ensure the Teams app is updated to the latest version via the App Store.
    2. Try accessing the PDF from the “Files” tab of the class team instead of through the assignment interface.
    3. Use Safari or another browser to open Teams via teams.microsoft.com and access the assignment there.
    4. Alternatively, download the PDF and open it using a third-party app such as Adobe Scan or Adobe Acrobat Reader to check if the issue persists.
    5. Report the issue via the Teams app
      • Tap your profile picture > Help & Feedback > Report a problem.
      • Include screenshots and a description of the issue.

For official Microsoft guidance, please refer to:

We sincerely appreciate your patience and efforts in troubleshooting. If the issue persists, we recommend escalating it through your IT administrator or submitting feedback directly to Microsoft via the app.

Please let me know if you need further assistance or if you'd like help submitting a support ticket.
