I need to log in azure portal but sign-in failed because of long inactivity. I want to know if my tenant is able to reactivated or is already deleted permanently. I'm now taking cloud computing course and trying to use azure for education purpose. Actually, I already did my student verification on this account and I didn't know that my tenant is blocked. If my tenant is permanently deleted, I wanna know if my student verification can be cancelled on my blocked tenant.

To solve this situation, I want real human support to deal with my problem, not calling to a bot. Bot doesn't solve anything.

    Hi,

Azure tenant inactive for 90 days without access or usage may be disabled and marked for deletion by Microsoft, leading to a loss of data and service access. To resolve this, you may need to make a purchase, add a valid payment method in the Microsoft 365 or Entra admin center, or create a support request to regain access. If the tenant has not been blocked for more than 20 days, you may be able to reactivate it; after this period, it will be permanently deleted.  and to discuss the issue you will need to call up global support desk - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/global-customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2

    Hope this helps.

    Hello 우현 김,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A portal.

The error message you encountered indicates that your tenant has been inactive for over 200 days past the billing cycle, triggering Microsoft’s effort to remove inactive tenants. When a tenant remains inactive for this period, the OMS commerce system imposes a login block (AADSTS5000225). Twenty days after the login block is applied, the tenant is permanently deleted.

If you plan to unblock your inactive tenant, it’s essential that it has been blocked for less than 20 days. After the 20-day period, the tenant is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

If it has been less than 20 days since the block, please provide the following details for further assistance via private message:

    • Error Code
    • Tenant ID
    • Correlation ID from the recent failure
    • Timestamp from the recent failure
    • Business impact and justification for restoring the tenant, and an explanation of the impact if the tenant cannot be restored.

If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out.

    Thanks,

    Suchitra.
