Hello, I have a user that is experiencing issues with Teams calendar invites. Attached is a picture of the invite. It was sent with Outlook.

When you join the meeting in Teams, the title reads a completely different meeting title and date. I have tested in the desktop and web version of Teams on multiple systems with the same result. I have updated and reset the cache. The issue persists.

    Hi @Brandon McGinnis

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Q&A Forum and for sharing both the screenshot and video demonstration. We understand that the meeting title shown in Microsoft Teams differs from the title in the original Outlook calendar invite. We appreciate your efforts in testing across multiple systems and platforms.

To migrate this issue, we suggest these steps below:

Step 1: Create a new meeting link

Avoid copying or reusing old meeting invites. Instead, create a brand-new meeting from Outlook or Teams to ensure fresh metadata is used.

Step 2: Manually clear Microsoft Teams cache

Even if you've reset the cache, we recommend manually clearing it to ensure all cached data is removed.

    1. Quit Microsoft Teams completely.
    2. Open File Explorer and go to:  C:\Users<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams
    3. Delete the contents of the following folders:
      • Cache
      • blob_storage
      • databases
      • GPUCache
      • IndexedDB
      • Local Storage
      • tmp
    4. Restart Microsoft Teams.

    Step 3: Avoid recurring meetings

    • Recurring meetings may retain the original title across all instances.
    • Try scheduling a one-time meeting to test if the issue persists.

Step 4: Test with a different organizer

    • Have another user create and send a test meeting invite.
    • This helps determine if the issue is specific to the original organizer’s account.

Note: Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

    Best regards,
