    Dear Ms. McCary,

Thank you for reaching out. We understand that after having your computer cleaned due to a security incident, you're now unable to reconnect your Brother MFC-J870DW printer, which previously worked without issue.

This situation may be caused by a missing driver, a network configuration change, or a reset in your printer’s wireless settings. To resolve this, we recommend the following steps:

Ensure your printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Download and install the latest drivers and software for your model from Brother’s official support page.

Use Brother’s Network Connection Repair Tool to automatically detect and fix connection issues.

If the printer still doesn’t appear in your devices list, try adding it manually via Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.

If this guidance proves helpful, feel free to click “Accept Answer” so we know we’re heading in the right direction 😊. And of course, I’m here if you need further clarification or support. T&B,

    Domic Vo
