Hi,

In Azure Managed Grafana, under "Plugin management" list, currently there is no entry for VictoriaMetrics nor VictoriaLogs datasources.
I'm looking at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/managed-grafana/how-to-manage-plugins and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/managed-grafana/how-to-data-source-plugins-managed-identity?tabs=azure-portal#grafana-built-in-core-data-sources but there's no hint on how to add missing plugins. Any idea when they will be added please? thank youUser's image

    Hi Paul Robu,

Unfortunately, not all plugins are available by default, and it seems like those specific ( VictoriaMetrics and VictoriaLogs Datasource) plugins are currently not listed for installation in Azure Managed Grafana.

The VictoriaMetrics datasource plugin is a community-supported plugin for querying and visualizing metrics from VictoriaMetrics. It supports MetricsQL and has installation methods for local Grafana instances but is not listed yet as an official plugin in Azure Managed Grafana.

Similarly, the VictoriaLogs datasource plugin allows querying logs using LogsQL. It is available for Grafana and can be installed manually in regular Grafana setups, but it is currently missing in AMG plugin lists.

AMG manages available plugins centrally through the Azure portal, and plugin installation/removal is done there, but only a limited set of plugins are exposed. Third-party or less common plugins like VictoriaMetrics or VictoriaLogs are not yet provided

There is no publicly available official roadmap or announced timeline from Microsoft or AMG on when these plugins will be added to the AMG plugin list. Make sure to frequently check the official Azure Managed Grafana documentation for updates regarding available plugins. They may add more support for third-party plugins over time.

    • If these plugins are essential for your use case, consider reaching out to Azure Support Options | Microsoft Azure or submitting feedback through the Azure portal. They could provide insights on the roadmap for including these plugins or alternatives you might consider.
