Hello,

after installing Edge Version 140.0.3485.52 (Android and iOS): September 8, 2025 and newer on iPad our site cannot display iframe with weird command in Edge (Safari works, PC version works):

{"command":"registerAsChildFrameAck","remoteFrameId":"f2676238dc84d6ae727acdd8ae6c39e5"}

Screen of ERROR:Error

I was able to test it again on version 139+ and it was stable.

We tried:

  • turn off every restriction from Intune - same error.
  • add sites to Edge allowList - same error

We cannot find any decription or help on registerAsChildFrameAck.

Thanks,

Ian

    Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Sorry to know about this and if this is the case on a new update which points out a bug and it is best to roll it back and to report it to the team that is working on Edge by sending a feedback within the browser and hopefully this will be patched on the next update.

    The new Edge (140+) on iPad enforces stricter iframe and cross-origin policies. Sites using X-Frame-Options or Content-Security-Policy: frame-ancestors may fail to load. Verify the site allows embedding and ensure HTTPS is used. At dev technosys, we recommend testing in multiple browsers and updating iframe permissions on the server.

    I see, hoping that this gets sorted out the soonest and to get that other post approved.

    Resolved via different PostMessage handling.
