Our school changed our subscription plan from A1 to A3, and now we can't use the Teams properly. What can I do so I can create assignment and attach an MS Forms quiz?

    Hi @Leandro Fua,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding that your school change the subscription plan from A1 to A3 but you can't use team properly. I’d like to ask a few quick questions to better assist you.

Could you please share a screenshot of your current subscription?  You can check this by signing in to your account at Sign in to your account, then navigating to:  My Account > View Subscriptions
    User's image

This will help verify what products and licenses are currently assigned to your account.

What specific error are you encountering when trying to use Teams?  If possible, please include a screenshot of the error message.

Have you contacted your school’s IT administrator?  You can ask them to reassign the license to ensure it’s properly applied. This often resolves issues after a subscription upgrade.

Your admin should check if the Microsoft Team enterprise license have been assign to your account or not

Go to Admin center > User > Active user

Then choose your account and check for the Microsoft Team license

If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your organization, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.

Thank you again for your time and understanding. While my initial response may not resolve the issue immediately, I’d like to gather more details about your situation so I can assist you more effectively.

I really appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. Looking forward to your response!

Here are the screenshots of my account. I don't have access to the subscription. I know our school chaged our subscription because there was a memo issued a while ago telling us the Microsoft cancelled the A1 subscription and that we are now subscribed as A3.

I will try to look for that memo. If you need it, I will post a picture later.

Thank you for your immediate response to my problem. New Picture

    Hi @Leandro Fua,

Thank you for replying, I really appreciate the information that you have given me.

It’s great to hear that your school has upgraded from the A1 to the A3 subscription plan. The A3 plan offers more features than A1, so if you're experiencing issues with Microsoft Teams, I strongly recommend contacting your IT administrator to confirm whether your account has been assigned the correct license.

You can refer to this article to compare the features between A1 and A3: Microsoft 365 Education - Service Descriptions | Microsoft Learn

Your admin should check whether the Microsoft Teams enterprise license has been assigned to your account.  To do this, they can follow these steps:

Go to Admin center > User > Active user

Then choose your account and check for the Microsoft Team license

Regarding the storage issue, this also needs to be handled by your IT admin. As forum moderators, we don’t have access to backend systems.

To delete a class team, you must be the owner of that team. If you're not the owner, only your IT admin can delete it for you.

You can read more here: Delete a class in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support

If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your organization, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.

Thank you again for your time and understanding. If there’s anything else I can assist you with, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’m here to help.
