Hello! Aditya. Thanks for the details.
The error “Store Installer has stopped working” on Windows 7 Ultimate usually means the Windows Installer service (MSI) or the Windows Store app framework (if installed) is corrupted or misconfigured.
Re-register Windows Installer
- Press Win + R, type
cmd, then right-click → Run as administrator. - Enter these two commands one by one:
msiexec /unregistermsiexec /regserver - Restart your PC afterward.
Make sure Windows Installer service is running
- Press Win + R, type
services.msc, press Enter. - Find Windows Installer.
- If it’s Stopped, right-click → Start.
- If it’s Running, right-click → Restart.
Repair system files (if problem still happens)
Sometimes the installer is failing because system components are corrupted.
Open Command Prompt as Administrator again.
- Run:
sfc /scannow - Wait until 100% complete → then restart.
Additionally, download Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable from Microsoft’s official site (search: Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable Microsoft Download Center).
Install it → restart your PC.
See if this helps. If you need further assistance, just let me know.
Best regards,
Kimberly
