Yes, Microsoft will release one final free security update for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025.

That date is the official end of support, and since it happens to fall on a Patch Tuesday (the second Tuesday of the month), Windows 10 will still be included in that day’s updates. After that, no more free security patches or bug fixes will be released.

The only way to keep getting updates beyond that point will be through Microsoft’s paid Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, which can cover you for up to three more years (until October 2028).

So in short: yes, October 14, 2025 will be the last normal Patch Tuesday for Windows 10.

AFAIK, that's the case. This aligns with Microsoft's standard update cadence, where security updates are released on the second Tuesday of each month. Since October 14, 2025, is the second Tuesday, it will be the final cumulative security update for Windows 10.

Btw. this will not be the final group of updates - only final available outside of ESU.
