Hello!
I'm Yasllame.
I'm happy to help and clarify.
If your MacBook camera is not recognized in Teams Web even after granting permission, here are a few things you can check:
- Check the browser: Teams Web works best in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. In Safari, the camera often does not function properly even with permissions enabled. Try using Chrome or Edge instead.
- macOS permissions: Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Camera and make sure the browser you are using (Chrome or Edge) is allowed to access the camera.
- Close other apps: If another application (such as Zoom, FaceTime, or Photo Booth) is using the camera, Teams will not be able to access it. Close any other apps that may be using the camera before joining a meeting.
- Test the camera: Open the Photo Booth app on your Mac to confirm the camera works in the system. If it doesn’t work there, the issue may be hardware-related.
In short: the most common cause is using Safari. Install and use Teams Web on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, allow camera access in the browser and in Security & Privacy, and it should work normally.
I hope this information was helpful! If you need anything else, I'm here.
Sincerely,
Yasllame
