WACOM ONE PEN DISPLAY

HUNDREDS of people have had this issue - most of us are still stumbling for a solution: The Wacom One Pen tablets do not work (or work consistently).

We follow miles of threads with offered solutions from Wacom, Microsoft, and independents offering the same answers that DO NOT work.

  • We've watched hours of YouTubers saying to "turn the cord around," or "make sure to plug the HDMI into your graphics cord." We're not dumb.
  • We make sure all drivers are up-to-date, swap cords, fuss with display settings, but still nothing.
  • Our tablets do work as a 'mouse' (you can draw on the screen), but the tablet displays nothing more than "No Signal."
  • We continute to reset, uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers and everything, but none of that works.
  • Again - the pen works just fine on the monitor, but there is no display on the device.

The cords are good (as evidenced by the connection proved with the pen's interaction with the monitor), but the display does not receive a signal from the graphics card (and yes, we've plugged the HDMI into the card itself - including buying yet another adapter for the DisplayPort for the same result).

Haven't you come across ANYONE that has solved this problem?

Wacom hasn't been able to help me - I believe it's because Windows automatically installs the driver as a Human Interface Device (HID) and not as an external monitor/mouse as it was designed.

Hello David, My name is Henry. I've thoroughly reviewed your case and the related documentation you've pointed to. I want to share my thought about your issue.

Based on my combined research, I've uncovered a some pieces of information:

You initially shared that the problem was Windows installing the driver incorrectly as an HID. However, a key Wacom support article is quite difference this. They state:User's image

It means the "No Signal" error is happening at a level below any driver or software. The display is designed to work as a basic plug-and-play monitor, and it is failing to do even that.

Besides that, other findings support this conclusion and help us narrow down the problem:

    • Some Wacom Ones Do Work with Windows: Here is the thread where a Wacom One 13 works as a second monitor but has pen mapping issues. This proves that Windows is not incompatible with these devices, making it more likely that a specific hardware revision or firmware version is the cause of the "No Signal" fault.
    • This Isn't Just a Windows Problem: We've also seen the thread where a Wacom device fails to be recognized on macOS. This pattern of fundamental connection failures across different operating systems points away from a Windows-specific bug and toward an issue with the Wacom product line itself.User's image

While I may not be able to share a direct solution for the troubleshooting at this stage, it would be helpful if you could share the following details. This will allow us to better compare your specific situation against any known hardware issues or documented incompatibilities.

    1. What is the exact model number of your Wacom One? (e.g., DTC133). As solutions or known faults are often tied to specific hardware revisions.
    2. Have you had an opportunity to test a different Wacom One unit on your computer? Or, conversely, test your specific Wacom One on a completely different computer? As we can check whether the fault is with this specific tablet unit or a compatibility issue with your machine's hardware (like a specific graphics card port).

I hope this information and these keywords help point you in the right direction for your research.
