Hello @Farzin Jainudeen
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A and informed us about the issue. From your description, you also mentioned that when you run the program, the status is "entry not found", the issue could be due to the program can't find a necessary function within a specific DLL file. To tackle this issue, please follow:
1. Clean install FxSound:
I see that you've already delete the software, but please ensure all residual files and drivers are also gone
- Open Control Panel > Programs > Look for FxSound and click Uninstall
- Open Device Manager (Windows + X) > Sound, video and game controllers > Look for entries that related to FxSound > Right-click > Uninstall device
- Restart your PC
2. Download and Reinstall the FxSound directly from the official website and run the installer
3. In case the clean install can't fix the issue, please perform these steps next:
Run a System File Check:
- Open Command Prompt and Run as Administrator then input this command one by one
- sfc /scannow > Enter
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth > Enter (Do notice the space between the forward dash (/) in the command)
- Restart your PC
4. Reinstall Visual C++:
Since Windows programs rely on Visual C++ Package, reinstall it can also update and replace the missing/corrupted files
- Uninstall C++ completely in Control Panel
- Download the latest version of C++ Packages here
- After download, restart your PC
