Can I have a post from X fully unfurl in Teams channels?

Hi,

I'm wondering how to have posts from X unfurl in Teams, if that is possible. Currently, you can post a link, but the information of the post itself does not fully display in teams.

Is this fixable? Are there any adds that can be made via Teams to allow the information for fully display instead of just a link?

    Hi @Matt Spendley

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding to your question, by default, Microsoft Teams only shows basic preview, such as title, image, description for pubic links. On the other hand, when you share a link to an X post in Teams, the preview may appear limited. This is because Teams relies on metadata, such as Open Graph tags embedded in the webpage to generate rich previews. If the X post does not include sufficient metadata, Teams will only display a basic link without additional context or visuals.

At this time, Teams does not offer built-in support to fully expand X posts beyond what is provided by the metadata. Enhancing the preview experience would require a custom integration developed and deployed by your organization’s IT or development team.
