I can confirm this isn’t just happening to you as I and several other users are experiencing the same issue. There seems to be a problem with this feature in the stable version 141.0.3537.57. I just Edge Canary 143.0.3606.0 and the feature is working without problems. I highly recommend reporting this issue by pressing Alt + Shift + I so the team can investigate it and work on a fix.
