Hi @John Gisclon,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Based on your information, this behavior is observed during operating system upgrades. Windows 11 utilizes a different architecture for managing audio endpoint security and application permissions compared to Windows 10. To prioritize user privacy, the new operating system often resets external device permissions or hides devices that are not currently in use, requiring a manual adjustment to the configuration to restore the connection path to desktop applications like Zoom.
Therefore, kindly follow the steps below to modify your system configuration, the update on outcome would be greatly appreciated.
Step 1: Verify Privacy Permissions
Windows 11 includes settings that strictly control which applications can access audio hardware.
- Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
- Ensure Microphone access is turned On.
- Scroll down to "Let desktop apps access your microphone" and ensure this is also toggled On.
- Reference: Windows camera, microphone, and privacy
Step 2: Enable the Device in Sound Settings
The device may be present but set to a "Disabled" state by the system during the upgrade.
- Right-click the Speaker icon on your taskbar and select Sound settings.
- Scroll down to Advanced and click More sound settings.
- In the Recording tab, right-click an empty area and select Show Disabled Devices.
- If your MIDAS device appears, right-click it and select Enable.

Please attempt these adjustments at your earliest convenience. Could you please reply to this thread with the outcome?
If the system still does not recognize the input, please let me know if you are connecting the MIDAS console via a USB cable or the 3.5mm audio jack. This detail will help me investigate if specific drivers need to be manually refreshed.
