Hi, Is there a way for me to set a reminder cadence for Loop? The reminders are coming too frequently. I've seen in other threads that individuals can complete the following steps:

  1. Open the task you want to set a reminder for.
  2. Click on the "..." button on the top right corner of the task.
  3. Select "Remind me" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Choose the frequency of the reminder (daily, weekly, or custom).
  5. Set the time you want to receive the reminder.
  6. Click "Save".

This option, however, is not appearing for me: User's image

Thank you!

    Hi @Jessica W

Thank you for your prompt response.

I’m reaching out to inform you of a service advisory currently affecting the Planner component within Microsoft Loop.

Some users may be unable to access Planner features embedded in Loop due to a recent system update that impacted how certain components connect. As a result, the Planner component in Loop is temporarily unavailable.

Below is the information currently available for your reference:

    • This issue began around Sep 18, 2025.
    • Microsoft has completed internal checks and is preparing to deploy a fix. Full restoration is expected by Friday, November 7, 2025, as the update rolls out across all environments.
    • We’ll share further updates by Friday, October 24, 2025, or sooner if new information becomes available.User's image User's image

Additionally, you can follow the progress directly, here are the steps:

Note: You use your admin account to login this portal.

    1. Login into Service health - Microsoft 365 admin center
    2. At the Overview, Scroll down to Service status > Planner
    3. Click on the advisory to view the latest updates and estimated resolution timeline.

    Hi @Jessica W

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

It appears you're not seeing the "Remind me" option when trying to set a reminder for a task in Loop. To help narrow things down, could you please confirm the following:

    1. Is the Loop page you're working in connected to a Microsoft 365 Group or a Team?
    2. Are you using a personal Microsoft account (e.g., @outlook.com, @hotmail.com), or an account provided by your organization (e.g., @yourcompany.com)?
    3. Is your account managed by an organization or IT admin?
    4. Do you have full edit access to the Loop page and the task in question?

Once I have a bit more context, I’ll be better able to guide you on the next steps or suggest a workaround if needed.

In the meaning time, you may want to note a few key points that could help clarify the situation:

    • Some features, like reminders, may only be available when the Loop component is part of a group-connected workspace.
    • Based on your screenshot, it looks like the plan isn't currently linked to a Microsoft 365 Group, which may be why some task features, like the 'Remind me' option not available. User's image

You can find more details in Microsoft’s support article here:

    Additionally, to enable reminder functionality:

    1. Ensure your Loop task list is synced with Planner: You might need to create a new plan within a Microsoft 365 Group or Team to access full task features.
    2. Check with your IT admin: If you're part of an organization, your admin might need to enable or configure group associations for Loop or Planner.

I hope the information shared helps clarify your question. While it may not resolve the issue directly, I’m here to support you further if anything remains unclear or if you'd like to explore additional options.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out anytime.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards,

Hi, Thanks for your response. I've answered the questions below:

    1. Is the Loop page you're working in connected to a Microsoft 365 Group or a Team?
      1. Team
    2. Are you using a personal Microsoft account (e.g., @outlook.com, @hotmail.com), or an account provided by your organization (e.g., @yourcompany.com)?
      1. An account provided by my organization
    3. Is your account managed by an organization or IT admin?
      1. IT admin
    4. Do you have full edit access to the Loop page and the task in question?
      1. Yes

Everyone on the Team is receiving reminders, but I want to send the reminders less frequently.

How do I ensure my Loop task list is synced with Planner? Is there another method for me to set the reminders at a less frequent cadence?
