Black screen stuck on surface laptop but still appears to charge.

My surface laptop has been stuck on a black screen for a while after randomly turning off while it was being used. It still appears to take charge with the charging light being on when it is plugged in.

    Thank you for posting your problem, I am here to help you today. Possible cause of this problem is due to overheating, software glitches, or hardware issues like a failing power supply or battery

    I need to get some information regarding your issue:

    What is your Surface Laptop model?

    For the meantime follow this steps check if this will help:

    Disconnect all device connected to your Surface Laptop and leave the Charger connected only. Restart your Surface Laptop check if any changes.

    Hi Foster,

    Thank you for responding. To Force restart your Surface Laptop follow this steps:

    Press and hold down the power button until your Surface shuts down and restarts and you see the Windows logo screen (about 20 seconds), then release the power button.
