    Hi BryarGh,

Thanks for posting here in the forum. the top bar freezing where address input, navigation buttons, and icons become unresponsive, is likely triggered by:

    https://iboysoft.com/howto/macos-tahoe-issues.html?citationMarker=43dcd9a7-70db-4a1f-b0ae-981daa162054 "2").

    • Edge’s multi-window rendering**, especially when split across multiple virtual Desktops.
    • GPU or compositor conflicts** introduced in the latest macOS update.

Below are the fixes you can try:

    1. Update Edge to the Latest Version

Microsoft may have patched this in a newer build:

    • Go to Edge > Settings > About Microsoft Edge
    • Let it check for updates and install the latest version.
    1. Disable Hardware Acceleration

    This often resolves UI freezes:

    • Go to Settings > System and Performance
    • Toggle off Use hardware acceleration when available
    • Restart Edge
    1. Avoid Multiple Desktops for Edge Windows

    Until a fix is released:

    • Keep all Edge windows on the same Desktop
    • Use tabs instead of separate windows
    1. Clear Edge Cache and Reset Settings

Corrupted cache can worsen UI issues:

    • Go to Settings > Privacy, Search, and Services
    • Under Clear browsing data, select Cached images and files
    • Also try Reset settings under Settings > Reset settings
    1. Report to Microsoft and Apple

    You can submit feedback:

    • In Edge: Alt + Shift + I
    • In macOS: Apple Menu > Feedback Assistant

    Hope this helps.
