    Hello @Jurga

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I’m not sure whether other students are experiencing the same issue, but I did some testing in my own environment and here’s what I found:

    • When I open a regular PDF file (not in Assignments) directly in Teams, I can select text but cannot copy it either.

    • However, once I download the PDF, I’m able to copy the text without any problem.

So, to support you better, please provide me more detail:

1.Are you able to copy text from other PDFs in Teams (outside of Assignments)?

2.Does this happen on all devices or just one (e.g., desktop vs. mobile)?

3.Can you try downloading the PDF and copying from there?

If other users are also unable to copy text from PDFs in Assignments; and you can only copy after downloading the file; then it seems likely by design.

I believe this is something the development team should be aware of, especially if it impacts accessibility or learning workflows. So, I highly recommend submitting feedback through the Microsoft 365 Feedback Hub:

    • Go to Help => Feedback => Send Feedback
    • Describe your suggestions in detail.

This allows the development team to understand the needs of real users. Not only Teams, but also all Microsoft apps are continuously improved to better serve users like you. Your feedback may help us revive or introduce features that make a real difference.

Every submission is reviewed, and many product enhancements have come directly from user input. I’ll also submit feedback myself, as it’s clear that many users are experiencing the same issue.

I truly appreciate you're understanding and patience as Microsoft continues to evolve the platform.

If you've already submitted feedback, please share the link here. That way, not only me but others who share the same idea will know how to raise their own feedback and can support yours, helping the development team become aware of it.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
