    Hi Gidi,

This is April, I'll be happy to assist you. Sorry to hear that you're having issue with Windows 11. Let me help you out.

Based on the description you provided, after upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11, you can no longer connect to internal servers via Remote Desktop. All attempts fail with error code 0x1108, and previous troubleshooting efforts have been unsuccessful.

Have you tested RDP from another Windows 11 machine to the same internal servers, and if so, does the error still occur or is it specific to the upgraded PC?

The 0x1108 Remote Desktop error is a known issue that often occurs after upgrading to Windows 11, particularly following the 24H2 update or recent patches such as KB5050094 and KB5051987.

Here's step-by-step troubleshooting to fix the error:

    1. Check for Update Conflicts
    • Open Settings > Windows Update > Update History.
    • Look for updates KB5050094 or KB5051987, which have been associated with Remote Desktop issues.
    • If you find them, try uninstalling temporarily via Settings > Windows Update > Uninstall updates.
    1. Verify Remote Desktop Services
    • Open Services.msc.
    • Make sure the following services are running:
      • Remote Desktop Services
      • Remote Desktop Configuration
    • Restart both services to refresh their state.
    1. Check Firewall and Network Profile
    • Confirm that your network profile is set to Private, not Public.
    • Verify that Remote Desktop is allowed through the Windows Firewall: Control Panel > Windows Defender Firewall > Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall.
    1. Review Group Policy Settings
    • Run gpedit.msc and navigate to: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Connections
    • Ensure the following:
      • Allow users to connect remotely using Remote Desktop Services is Enabled.
      • Limit number of connections is not set to restrict access.
    1. Test from Another Win11 Machine

If another Windows 11 PC can connect to the same server, compare:

    • Network settings
    • RDP client version
    • Security policies

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance you can reply to this message.

    Thank you,

    April P.
