I'd like to turn off the touch screen on a surface 4 laptop running windows 11.

I open the Select Device Manager, but cannot find HID-Compliant touchscreen under Human Interface Devices, nor the Intel Precise Touch and Stylus driver.

Thank you in advance.

    Hi Laura,

Thank you for posting, I am here to help you today.

To turn off touch screen on windows 11 / surface 4 laptop. Follow this steps:

Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.

In the Device Manager window that opens, select the arrow next to Human Interface Devices to expand it.

Under Human Interface Devices, right-click on HID-compliant touch screen and select either Enable device or Disable device depending on which action is desired.

If there are multiple HID-compliant touch screen devices listed, repeat the steps for each device.
