    Hello 2024FA - HUSSAIN ILYAS,
Thank you for posting question to Microsoft Q&A Forum.

Please check on this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/upgrade-macos-to-continue-receiving-microsoft-365-and-office-for-mac-updates-16b8414f-08ec-4b24-8c91-10a918f649f8#id0ebf=microsoft_365_for_mac
It is stated in this article that:
"As of September 2025, the three most recent major versions are macOS Tahoe, macOS Sequoia, and macOS Sonoma.
Note: As new major versions of macOS are made generally available, Microsoft will remove support for the oldest major version and support the newest and previous two major versions of macOS. Product functionality and feature availability may vary on older systems. For the best experience, use the latest major version of macOS along with the latest operating system updates.
The August 2024 update (16.88) is the last build to support macOS Monterey."
Based on your macOS 12.7.6 version, it should be considered that you are on macOS Monterey, please head to this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/update-history-office-for-mac and try to download the Office package with version 16.88 or earlier versions:

You mght want to consider using the Office Online web.apps which are free. They don't provide all features of the deskop software but may serve your needs until you are able to invest in a more current Mac.
