Hi Rimi Kar
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum!
I know it’s frustrating that the Microsoft Store is no longer supported on Windows Phone. It makes installing apps harder, but there are still safe alternatives I can help you with.
1. Sideload Apps Using Developer Mode
- Enable Developer Mode:
- Go to Settings → Update & Security → For Developers.
- Select Developer Mode and confirm.
- Go to Settings → Update & Security → For Developers.
- Download the App Package:
- Look for
.appxor.xapfiles from trusted sources (e.g., Appx4Fun). - Avoid unofficial or suspicious sites to prevent malware.
Note: The website mentioned is a third-party solution, not Microsoft product. They are suggested only because they can help in this specific scenario. Please use them at your discretion and review their privacy and security policies before uploading any content.- Install via PC:
- Download the Windows Device Portal or Application Deployment Tool (part of Windows SDK).
- Connect your phone to your PC via USB.
- Use the tool to deploy the app file to your phone.
2. Use Web Apps
For services like YouTube, Gmail, or social media:
- Open the browser and use the mobile web version.
- Pin the site to your Start screen for quick access.
Notes
- Many apps may not work because backend services are discontinued.
- Avoid downloading from unknown sources for security reasons.
