Hello 巴山 ミラン,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum! I’m really sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having with the Simplified Chinese IME after the recent Windows update. This error usually means the IME can’t access its dictionary files.
Here are a few actions that you can do to fix this:
1 - Restart Input Services
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) → End
TextInputHost.exeandctfmon.exe. - Press Win + R, type ctfmon.exe, and hit Enter.
2 - Clear IME Cache
- Go to these folders and delete their contents (not the folders):
-
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\InputMethod\Chs -
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\IME
-
- Restart you machine to apply new changes.
3 - Check Language Features
- In Language options for Chinese (Simplified), confirm Basic typing shows as “Installed.”
- If it says “Install” or “Failed,” that’s likely the root cause and will need IT assistance.
I look forward to receiving your update. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment". Thanks for your effort.
