Hi Madison, I see Edge opens on the taskbar but doesn’t show a usable window here’s how to work around it.
First, right-click the Edge icon on the taskbar, then hold Shift and right-click again choose Restore or Maximize to force the window back into view. Second, press Alt + Space when Edge is focused, then press M for Move and use your arrow keys to bring the window onscreen. Third, check if Edge is launching in Tablet Mode or a minimized state: go to Settings > System > Tablet and disable tablet mode if active. Fourth, reset Edge’s window position:
- Press Windows + R, type regedit, and go to: HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Microsoft\Edge\Main
- Delete any WindowPlacement entries. Restart Edge.
Fifth, run Edge with a fresh profile:
- Press Windows + R, type: msedge.exe --profile-directory=Default
- If that works, your previous profile may be corrupted.
If this helps, feel free to mark the answer as accepted so others can find it too.
Best,
Carl
