Hi,

I checked the lenovo website (https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-edge-laptops/thinkpad-e480-type-20kn-20kq/solutions/ht512623-lenovo-devices-supported-for-windows-11) to see if my thinkpad E480 could update to windows 11, and it is specified as a supported pc, but when I check on my laptop, it says it can't install Windows 11. I made sure the current install of windows 10 was UEFI, secure boot on, tpm 2 on, etc.. I also installed the lenovo apps like system update and updated the bios. (I tried posting this on the lenovo forums but their website is garbage and wouldn't let me make an account)

Please check and try the tutorial guide in the link below on How to Clean install Windows 11 25H2 on unsupported hardware.

Note: It's always a good practice to backup your important files first before performing any Windows upgrade or reinstallation.

I recommend using the Windows 11 Installation assistant to upgrade to Windows 11 manually.

Note: It's always a good practice to backup your important files first before performing any Windows upgrade or reinstallation.

Few things to check on the PC

    • Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting
    • Disable or uninstall any third-party Antivirus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade

I recommend checking your device for Windows 11 compatibility first using the PC Health Check app
