I am getting the following error, and any existing Excel spreadsheets in SharePoint are not able to be edited or saved as well.  Just wondering what settings I need to change in Intune. Thanks in advance. :)

Understanding feature restrictions

Why am I seeing this message?

You’re seeing this page because a feature or action you attempted is currently blocked by your organization’s administrator.

Organizations often enforce security and compliance policies to help protect users, devices, and data. These policies may prevent access to certain features, files, or settings based on internal guidelines.

What can I do?

  • This is not an error on your part.    The feature is working as expected, but your organization has chosen to restrict it.
  • If you believe this feature is important for your work or you're unsure why it’s blocked, we recommend reaching out to your IT team for clarification or assistance.

Common reasons for feature restrictions

  • Disabling older features or protocols that are more susceptible to security threats in modern environments
  • Enforcing compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Limiting access to unapproved or insecure tools or services Understanding feature restrictions Why am I seeing this message? Hello Hasintha Ramanayake,

Hope you got this sorted. If not, here are some pointers.

This could happen if there is an app-based conditional access and/or Intune App Protection policies applied. Try to figure out the applied protection policies or if a conditional access is blocking your access.

Also check if you are trying to save locally or on onedrive. Refer to: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/mem/intune/app-protection-policies/troubleshoot-app-protection-policy-deployment#step-1-verify-app-protection-policy-prerequisites

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/mem/intune/app-protection-policies/data-transfer-scenarios#users-cannot-save-corporate-files-to-local-storage

    Hope this helps!
