why do i experience latency while recording on bandlab

Are you using an external audio interface or recording directly through your computer’s built-in mic? Have you noticed if the delay happens only when using BandLab in Microsoft Edge, or does it occur in other browsers too? And lastly, what’s your device setup, Windows version, RAM, and whether any background apps are running while recording?

You can also try this: first, open BandLab’s Audio Settings and lower the buffer size, a smaller buffer reduces latency, though it may slightly increase CPU load. Second, switch to Google Chrome or BandLab Desktop App, as Edge sometimes causes audio lag due to browser processing delays. Additionally, make sure your audio drivers are updated and disable any active sound enhancements in Windows Sound Settings, since these can also cause recording delays.
