Hello,

I’m currently using Microsoft Edge for Android (version 141.xx).

When I try to customize the homepage under Settings > new tab page > home page > A specific page, the browser keeps reverting to the default “chrome-native://newtab” page.

No matter what URL I enter (for example, https://google.com), it doesn’t save — it always resets to the default new tab page after closing the settings or restarting Edge.

**note, NOT new tab page. just HOMEPAGE(home button)

I’ve already tried:

  1. Clearing cache and app data
  2. Uninstall / Install Edge
  3. Signing out of my Microsoft account
  4. Disabling sync

Is this a known bug or an intentional change in recent Edge versions (v141+)?

If this behavior is by design, is there any way to enable a custom homepage again?

(Device: Android 16, SM-A356N)

Thanks.

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Please check and test if you will encounter the same when you download and install Edge Beta or Dev separately from the Play Store.
