    Hi @app,

Thank you for reaching us regarding the issue.

Azure recently changed how custom domain validation works for Static Web Apps.  The portal no longer shows the CNAME or alias info because it now uses TXT record verification only, especially for root (apex) domains.  This means what used to appear last month (CNAME/alias details) no longer shows up it’s not a bug with your setup, it’s a platform update by Azure.
Screenshot 2025-11-10 183611 Before we proceed, I have a few quick questions to ensure I provide the exact steps and avoid any delays:

    1. Please let me know currently you are using apex domain (example.com) or subdomain?
    2. Which DNS provider are you using? (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, Route 53)
    3. Can you share the exact TXT value Azure gave you? (Cover last 6 characters if sensitive: abcd...xyz)
    4. When you run this CLI command, what do you see?

Kindly let us know if the above comment helps or you need further assistance on this issue.

    1. Check if the custom domain was added correctly in your web app settings.
    2. Wait a few minutes — it can take time for DNS records to update.
    3. Refresh the page or reopen the custom domain tab.
    4. If it still doesn’t show, try removing and re-adding the domain.
    5. Make sure your DNS provider (like GoDaddy or Cloudflare) doesn’t already have a conflicting record.
