Azure recently changed how custom domain validation works for Static Web Apps. The portal no longer shows the CNAME or alias info because it now uses TXT record verification only, especially for root (apex) domains. This means what used to appear last month (CNAME/alias details) no longer shows up it’s not a bug with your setup, it’s a platform update by Azure.
Before we proceed, I have a few quick questions to ensure I provide the exact steps and avoid any delays:
- Please let me know currently you are using apex domain (example.com) or subdomain?
- Which DNS provider are you using? (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, Route 53)
- Can you share the exact TXT value Azure gave you? (Cover last 6 characters if sensitive: abcd...xyz)
- When you run this CLI command, what do you see?
