Universal Print automatically cancelling jobs on printer

The printer receives print jobs but automatically cancels them when connected through the Work/School account(universal print) on the computer. However, if I connect to the same printer via IP/network on the same computer, it prints normally. This issue started about a week ago.

    Hi Khin, I am Henry.

Based on your report that the issue began about a week ago, I investigated further and confirmed a widespread, known issue affecting printing and file sharing. It appears to have started after the recent Windows Security Update KB5065426, as reported in this thread. The symptoms you're experiencing closely match those described by many other users.

    1. Go to: Settings > Update & Security > View update history. Look for KB5065426 installed recently.
    2. Reconfigure Network & Sharing Settings
    • Set your network profile to Private: Settings > Network & Internet > Ethernet/Wi-Fi > Private
    • Enable sharing features: Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change advanced sharing settings
      • Turn on network discovery
      • Turn on file and printer sharing
    1. Try printing again. If it still fails, proceed to uninstall the update.
    2. Go to: Settings > Update & Security > View update history > Uninstall updates. Find KB5065426, uninstall it, and restart the server.

We have exactly the same problem, starting at 3.11..2025.. The KB5065426 istn't the problem, because there is no direct network connection between Windows client and printer. This issue appears when printing via azure universal print connection over internet to the printer.. We have 3 different printers from brother (MFC8690; HL8260) with native support and registered in universal print. They used to work fine over a year now but suddenly the all three stoped. I checked that the firmware is up to date, tried different network settings, wifi and lan, hard reset of the printer and reregistration of all 3 in the universal cloud print portal, checked the dns settings, the time settings.. all good. But the Error still appears. .. Printer display shows: receiving print job and than canceling.. Image below is from the print history in universal print portal.. User's image
