Please provide some more details on your system

    1

Are you using a PC with a separate monitor, and if so, what is the make and exact model number of the monitor, or if that is a laptop, what is the make and model number of the laptop.

    2

Right click your Start Button and open Device Manager, then expand the Display Adapters section.

Please provide a screenshot of that window.

    Welcome PRIYANKA TUDU,

Thanks for posting your question to the Q&A Forum.

I understand you're trying to change your display's refresh rate to 120Hz, but you're only seeing an option for 60Hz. Here are a few things you can check:

    1. Check your display capability: Ensure your monitor supports refresh rates higher than 60Hz. Some monitors only support 60Hz natively.
    2. Monitor connection: Check the cable you are using to connect your monitor. Some cables (like HDMI) might limit refresh rates depending on the version (e.g., HDMI 1.4 might only support 60Hz on certain resolutions). If possible, try using a DisplayPort or a different HDMI cable that supports higher refresh rates.
    3. Check Monitor or TV Input Settings: If your monitor is connected as an external display or a TV, check the monitor or TV's input settings and set the input mode to "Enhanced" rather than "Standard," which can affect maximum refresh rate.
    4. Update Graphics Drivers: Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can restrict available resolutions and refresh rate options. Download the latest drivers from your GPU manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel).
    5. Use NVIDIA Control Panel (Optional for NVIDIA users):

Right-click on your desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel.

Go to Display > Change Resolution.

You will see two categories of resolutions:

    • Ultra-HD, HD, SD
    • PC (scroll down to find this). Your monitor’s native resolution will typically appear under Ultra-HD, HD, SD often limited to 120Hz or less. Under PC, you can select the same resolution but with the maximum refresh rate your monitor supports (e.g., set resolution from (1080x1920) ULTRA HD to (1080x1920) PC...)

Note: Ensure your Windows is fully updated, as sometimes system updates can include important fixes for display-related issues.

I hope these suggestions could help address your concern. If you need further support, please feel free to ask more questions!
