with MS edge, the pluto tv site doesnt work; it used to: Pluto TV works on google and other browsers, not on Edge. I downloaded the Pluto Tv app and it no longer works (I erased history and reinstalled and still didnt work). an fyi for MS... something is wrong when pluto tv works on other browsers. It may have been a recent update to win11 pro (I have win 11 pro); the pluto tv app stopped working after an update; still works on google just fine though. any thoughts?

    Hi,

Sorry about the issue you running into, Were you able to try this, You can start by clearing Edge’s site permissions and cache specifically for Pluto TV — go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data > See all cookies and site data, then search for pluto.tv and remove it. Next, disable any extensions temporarily to rule out conflicts, and try launching Pluto TV in an InPrivate window to see if it loads there (this helps isolate settings or cache issues). If it still doesn’t work, try turning off hardware acceleration under Settings > System and performance, as recent Windows or Edge updates sometimes cause streaming issues with video acceleration. Have you noticed if other streaming sites (like YouTube or Hulu) also act up on Edge, or is it only Pluto TV that fails to load?

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

Got it, thanks for clarifying that both the Edge browser and the Pluto TV app stopped working after your Windows 11 Pro update, while it still works fine on Chrome.

    You can also try this:

Turn off hardware acceleration in Edge under Settings > System and performance, then restart Edge and test Pluto TV again.

Run Windows Store App Troubleshooter, go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters, then find Windows Store Apps and run it; this often fixes app startup issues after updates.

Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date via Device Manager > Display adapters > Update driver.

If the app still fails, we might need to reset Edge and the Pluto TV app fully using Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Reset.

When you try to open Pluto TV on Edge or in the app, do you get a blank screen, an error message, or does it just fail to load at all?

    Kind regards,

    please see the comment

After rebooting, pluto tv does not work.

I no longer have the app: It just kept trying to load.

In Edge, the page loads, but I cannot click (turn on the) sound and the video doesnt play: It seems to try to load. I get the general picture for that channel, but that's it; no video and unable to click sound.

my current Edge version is Version 142.0.3595.53 (Official build) (64-bit)

    Hi,

Thanks for the detailed update, and good call on restarting after that October 14th Windows update; sometimes new drivers or system changes don’t fully take effect until a reboot. You’re absolutely right: in some versions of Edge, hardware acceleration now appears under System and performance as "Use graphics acceleration when available", that’s the one you’d toggle off if it’s visible. If it’s not listed, no worries; it may have been folded into Windows’ own graphics handling after the latest update.

Once your system restarts, try opening Pluto TV in Edge again, and if it still doesn’t run, let’s check whether Media Foundation or DRM playback got disrupted (that sometimes happens after updates). You can look in Edge Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Media licenses, and make sure the option "Allow sites to play protected content" is turned on.

    Kind regards,

I have privacy...---but not Media licenses

I did a search for "media" and "media autoplay" "control if audio video play automatically on sites" and "save content using collection in microsoft edge" came up.

under the "control if audio..." it said "limit" so I changed it to allow and pluto tv doesnt work.

I've other computers... pluto tv works fine; this one ... is a bit concerning. I would rather not have a but seep into various stuff.
