Hi,

I would like to use my own picture for the PC lock screen. I create a policies "Forcing a specific image for lock screen" and "Prevent changing lock screen image". These policies have been deployed to the PC. I double check it by rsop and check the register below

\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization

LockScreenImage Reg_SZ C:\LegCo.jpg

NoChangingLockScreen Reg_DWORD 0x00000001

I confirm that LegCo.jpg is on c:\ drive. However, the picture does not appear when the pc is locked.

The environment is

Windows server 2019 Standard

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 1607/1809

Could you give me some advice ? Thank you

    Hello Wsd Admin

I think I can give out a few important considerations that might explain why the image isn’t appearing:

    1. File location: Try placing the image in a shared or public folder like C:\Windows\Web\Screen and update the registry path accordingly. This ensures consistent access across user contexts.
    2. Group Policy refresh: After applying the policy, run gpupdate /force and reboot the machine to ensure the policy takes effect.
    3. Check for conflicting policies: Use gpresult /h report.html to verify no other GPOs are overriding your settings.

If none of it works, I would assume it's due to LTSC limitations: Some personalization features are restricted or behave differently in LTSC editions. This - I don't know how to change.
