"Show Picture in Picture control inside video frame" toggle the switch to Off doesn't stop picture in picture from youtube

I foolishly accepted picture in picture on my youtube-page yesterday morning, not knowing how irritating it would be to have the current playing video pop out every time I use the tab youtube is on and then switching to a differen tab. A search tells me how easy it is to switch this off if I'm using Firefox or Chrome, and it also says I can turn off PIP from a youtube video, but not if I'm using Edge. Which seems correct as I can't see any option to turn it off. Anything called PIP on the video just opens the small window. I also found the "go to edge://settings/content/PictureInPicture", find "Show Picture in Picture control inside video frame" option and toggle the switch to Off. I did this yesterday, but the youtube videos still do the PIP irritating pop out in a small window. How do I turn off this annoying feature when I'm using Edge?

    Hi,

Check if you have this flag in edge://flags then set it to Disabled to see if it helps. After turning it off, you might as well turn off again the option in edge://settings/content/PictureInPicture

Thank you! My workday just got tons better. That worked like a charm (and was so easy to do as well).
