Hello windows 11 Pro on various computers is crashing without reason.

There do not have to be any activity it crash even if computer is just locked.

Event viewer shows 0x0000001e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff803998c05e1, 0x0000000000000001, 0x000000000000003b)

Do you know what should cause it?

    Hi František Pazdera,

The error 0x0000001E with parameter 0xC0000005 means an access violation in kernel mode. In plain terms, a driver or kernel component tried to access invalid memory. This is usually caused by a faulty or outdated driver, sometimes by low‑level security/antivirus software. This error can be triggered by a lot of factors. Often, the root cause is a faulty or outdated driver, with graphics drivers from manufacturers like NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel being particularly common offenders, though network or storage controller drivers can also be responsible. These driver issues are frequently exposed by a recent Windows update, which can introduce new conflicts that cause a previously stable driver to crash. Furthermore, third-party security software or system utilities that integrate deeply with the Windows kernel can become incompatible after an update, leading to these access violations. Another cause worth considering is underlying hardware problems such as faulty RAM, an unstable overclock, or an outdated BIOS/UEFI firmware version can also create the system instability that results in this error.

If you find this information useful to some extent, please accept the answer so that your experience with the issue would help contribute to the whole community. Thank you :)

Hi **František Pazdera,**The code you provided describes a kernel-mode exception caused by an invalid memory access. This pattern is typical of crashes triggered by a third-party driver running in kernel context, not by native Windows components. The 0xC0000005 parameter confirms the access violation; the second parameter points to the address inside the module that attempted to execute the instruction. When the system crashes even while locked, the source is almost always a resident driver: security software, GPU drivers, motherboard utilities, storage controllers, or any module that loads kernel code and runs background activity.

Eliminate any software that injects filters into the system stack: antivirus, EDR, overclock utilities, RGB controllers, or bundled driver packages from hardware vendors. A faulty driver continues periodic activity even when the session is locked, which produces exactly the behavior you described.

If multiple machines fail the same way, you are not dealing with an isolated malfunction. Identify the common component installed across all affected devices, whether a specific driver or a corporate agent. The crash dump you attached only confirms the generic exception; the true cause is the module containing the address referenced in the second parameter. Removing or replacing that driver stops the crashes without requiring additional changes.

I hope you are clear with the information. Should you have any more questions, feel free to leave a message. It's really appreciated of you to accept the answer to let others know more about your issue. Thanks!
