We have 3 different computers with the same problem. When booking a new teams meeting in outlook the link does not appear. If I reinstall teams I can create one meeting. ( open outlook and create new meeting, and after a few seconds the link appers) but if i create a second meeting i don´t get a link. I can reinstall teams agen and the same happens again.

The problem is only on desktop outlook.

creating link in desktop Teams, Teams Online and Outlook online is working.

Any suggestions?

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the Microsoft Teams meeting link not generating consistently in Outlook on desktop. Here are a few suggestions to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that both Microsoft Teams and Outlook are updated to the latest versions. Sometimes, bugs are fixed in newer releases.
    2. Teams Meeting Add-in: Verify that the Teams Meeting Add-in for Outlook is installed and enabled. You can check this by going to Outlook's Options > Add-ins. If it's disabled, enable it and restart Outlook.
    3. Registry Settings: If the add-in is present but not functioning correctly, you may need to check the registry settings related to the Teams add-in. Ensure that the registry entries are correctly configured as per the guidelines for the Teams Meeting Add-in.
    4. Repair Office: You can try repairing your Office installation. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, select Microsoft Office, and then choose the Repair option.
    5. Clear Cache: Clearing the Teams cache can sometimes resolve issues. You can do this by closing Teams, navigating to %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and deleting the contents of the folder.
    6. User Profile: If the issue persists, consider creating a new Outlook profile to see if the problem is related to the current user profile.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.

    Dear @Lars Chrisén

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how inconvenient it must be to encounter issues with Teams meeting links not generated in Outlook desktop. This behavior is typically caused by the Teams Meeting Add-in not being properly installed or becoming disabled in Outlook Desktop.

To help me better understand the situation and assist you effectively, could you please share a few details such as:

1/ Is your account a personal account (such as @gmail.com, @outlook.com, @hotmail.com) or a work or school account managed by your organization?

2/ If your account is a work or school account, are you the IT administrator?

3/ Do these three computers belong to you, or are they used by other people in your organization?

3/ Are you currently using the New Outlook or the Classic Outlook desktop version? Could you please share the exact version number of Outlook you're using?

4/ What operating system are the three affected computers running? macOS or Windows?

5/ Have you recently updated your operating system and Outlook application?

This will help us better understand the context and provide more targeted support. Any additional information will help us better understand and support you.

In the meantime, you can refer to some workarounds to verify the issue:

Option 1: Use Outlook safe mode

You may try open Outlook in safe mode to check if one of your add-ins might be interfering.

    Option 2: Clear Outlook cache

    Close Outlook completely

Right click the Windows Start button and select Run.

    User's image

Type the following path into the Run box and press Enter:

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache

     User's image

This will open the RoamCache folder containing the cache files associated with your Outlook profile.

Click anywhere within the folder, press Ctrl + A to select all files, and then press the Delete key to remove them. Alternatively, you can right-click the selection and choose the Delete option from the context menu.

    User's image

After clearing the cache, relaunch Outlook. It will rebuild the necessary cache files from scratch.

Option 3: Clear the Teams cache

This helps remove temporary files that may interfere with how Teams integrates with other apps.

This article provides further guidance on the topic: Clear the Teams client cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

Option 4: Repair the Outlook desktop app

Repair the Outlook app to fix any corrupted files or configuration issues that might be causing the problem.

    Note:

If you proceed with this step, all app settings and saved login information will be reset. This means you may need to reconfigure your preferences and sign in again after the reset.

We recommend backing up any important settings or data beforehand, if possible.
