I purchased Microsoft 365 in May 2025 but I keep having trouble downloading. At first it tells me I can get trial or purchase, but I had already purchased. Yesterday, it keeps asking for the code and then stop providing code. not making any progress

If you're having trouble downloading Microsoft 365 after purchasing it, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

    1. Verify Your Purchase: Ensure that your Microsoft 365 subscription is active. You can check your subscription status by signing in to your Microsoft account and verifying your purchases.
    2. Correct Version: Make sure you are trying to download the correct version of Office that corresponds to your subscription. If you have a business subscription, ensure you are using the right account.
    3. Product Key Issues: If you are being prompted for a product key, check if you have entered it correctly. If you continue to have issues, you may need to remove any existing product keys associated with your Office installation. You can do this by using the command:
cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:<Last five characters of product key>

This command will help you remove any conflicting product keys.
    4. Uninstall and Reinstall: If the issue persists, consider uninstalling Microsoft 365 completely using the Microsoft 365 Uninstall troubleshooter. After uninstalling, restart your device and then try to reinstall Microsoft 365 from your account page.
    5. Check for Updates: Ensure that your system is up to date. Sometimes, pending updates can interfere with the installation process. You can check for updates in Windows settings.
    6. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, it may be best to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

Following these steps should help you resolve the downloading issues with Microsoft 365.

    Hi Nicholas,

These issues are often tied to account validation or backend licensing checks, which only Microsoft’s support team can resolve. Speaking directly with a tech support agent will help confirm your subscription and complete the installation.

To connect with an actual Microsoft support agent

Go to Microsoft Support Contact Page https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

Sign in with the account used for purchase This ensures the system recognizes your subscription.

Select “Microsoft 365” → “Install & Activate” or “Billing & Subscription” These categories route you to the right team.

    Choose “Chat” or “Call” option

Chat connects you to a live agent quickly.

Call option provides a phone number for your region.

If the virtual assistant appears first, type “Talk to a person” or “Agent” until you’re routed to a Microsoft support.

     Happy to help!
