If Microsoft Teams is unable to access your calendar, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some potential causes and resolutions you can consider:

    1. Exchange Mailbox Hosting: If your Exchange mailbox is hosted on-premises and is an older version than Exchange 2016 CU3, the meeting functionality may not be available. Upgrading to Exchange 2016 CU3 or later can resolve this issue.
    2. Teams Calendar App: Ensure that the Teams Calendar app is enabled in the Microsoft Teams admin center. If the app is missing, you may need to restore it.
    3. Coexistence Mode: Check the Coexistence mode setting for your account. It should be set to a value other than "Skype for Business only" or "Skype for Business with Teams collaboration" to allow Teams meetings.
    4. EWS Access: Verify that Teams is not blocked from accessing Exchange Web Services (EWS) for your organization. You can check this using Exchange PowerShell commands.
    5. Permissions: If you are a delegate trying to schedule meetings on behalf of someone else, ensure that you have the necessary permissions to do so.

If you've tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, you may want to consult the Microsoft Community for further assistance.

    Hi @Gilles Ouellette,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for contacting us regarding the issue with scheduling meeting in Teams.

To help determine the best solution for your situation, could you confirm the following details:

    • Are you signed into Teams with a personal account (e.g., @outlook.com, @hotmail.com) or a business account (e.g., @yourcompany.com)?
    • Are you using the same account to sign into both Teams and Outlook?
    • Are there any error messages when you attempt to schedule your meeting? Can you share the exact error message or a screenshot of it?
    • Does the issue occur on Teams on the web or Teams desktop app?
    • Can you share the steps you've tried to resolve the issue?
    • What is your current Microsoft subscription (Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 E3/E5, Teams Essentials)?

Once I have a clearer understanding of your current situation, I’ll be happy to assist you with greater accuracy. Please feel free to share any additional details you believe are relevant.

While waiting for your answer, here are some steps you can try with your business account:

1/ Ensure Outlook and Teams are updated to the latest supported versions

2/ Try scheduling from Teams on the web to see if the issue persists

3/ Check Teams add-ins (in Outlook Classic):

If you are using Outlook Classic desktop app, you can check for Teams add-in by:

    • Go to File > Options > Add-ins
    • Under Manage: COM Add-ins, click Go

4/ Fully clear the Teams cache (Teams desktop app):

    • Quit Teams completely.
    • Press Windows + R, type:

    %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams

    5/ Uninstall and reinstall Teams:

To uninstall Teams, you need to uninstall two items. Follow the steps below to fully uninstall Teams.

    • Quit Teams by right-clicking the Teams icon in the taskbar and choosing Close window.
    • In Windows, click on the Start button > Settings > Apps.
    • Under Apps & features, search "teams".
    • Highlight Microsoft Teams, then select Uninstall.
    • A box will appear, then again select Uninstall to confirm. A new box will appear, asking "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" > Select "Yes".
    • Now select Teams Machine-Wide Installer, click Uninstall. Then follow the same process described in the previous step

    6/ Contact Microsoft Support:

If the issue persists after trying the steps above, the best next step would be to have your IT administrator open a support ticket with Microsoft via the admin center. A technical support engineer can then initiate a remote session, review backend settings, and run diagnostics. If needed, they can escalate the case to specialized engineering teams who are well-equipped to perform advanced troubleshooting and provide targeted solutions.

As moderators, our primary goal is to provide helpful guidance and support through general troubleshooting steps. While we don’t have access to internal systems or administrative tools required to resolve account-specific or backend issues, we truly appreciate your understanding of these limitations. We genuinely hope the information we share helps point you in the right direction, and we're always here to assist as much as we can within our scope.

For guidance on how to request support in the admin center, please share this link with your IT admin: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.
