Hello Microsoft Azure Support Team,

My Microsoft account (personal Gmail: [mod: PII redacted]@gmail.com) is currently linked to an organization directory (IICT - ii-ct.com), where I was previously added for internship purposes.

I am no longer associated with that organization, but my account is still attached to their directory. Because of this, I am unable to create or switch to a personal directory, and I also cannot activate my Azure for Students account using my verified academic email ([mod: PII redacted]@gcek.ac.in).

When I try to access or manage tenants, I receive errors like:

“Error displaying your content” and “You don’t have access.”

Could you please help me unlink my personal Microsoft account from the IICT directory or reset my Azure tenant so I can use my account independently?

Thank you very much for your support and time.

Best regards,

To unlink your personal Microsoft account from the IICT organization directory, you will need to contact your organization’s administrator. Since your account is still associated with their directory, only an admin can remove your account from the organization. You can explain your situation to them and request that they unlink your account.

If you are unable to reach the admin or if they are unresponsive, you may also consider creating a new Microsoft account with your academic email address (******@gcek.ac.in) and using that account to activate Azure for Students. This way, you can start fresh without the complications of the previous organization’s directory.

Additionally, if you encounter errors while trying to manage tenants, it is likely due to the permissions set by the organization. Therefore, resolving this issue with the admin is crucial.
